The Rural Development Program

The Rural Development Program is a special set of measures for the agriculture and food industry co-financed by the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and the State Budget. The current program is approved by the European Commission for the period 2014-2020, and the total financial allocation amounts to 2,383 billion. EUR.

The objectives of the Rural Development Program are:

  •  poticanje konkurentnosti poljoprivrede

  •  osiguranje održivog upravljanja prirodnim resursima i klimatskim promjenama te

  • postizanje uravnoteženog teritorijalnog razvoja ruralnih područja uključujući stvaranje i očuvanje radnih mjesta.

Programom je definirano 18 mjera koje imaju za cilj povećanje konkurentnosti hrvatske poljoprivrede, šumarstva i prerađivačke industrije, ali i unaprjeđenja životnih i radnih uvjeta u ruralnim područjima uopće.

Eligible investments within the framework of the Rural Development Program of the Republic of Croatia for the period 2014-2020 are mostly financed by the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) while the rest is co-financed by the State Budget of the Republic of Croatia.
